Providing Fort Worth With Diverse And Enlightened Leaders

Since its inception in 1972, Leadership Fort Worth has been committed to building a stronger Fort Worth by creating meaningful connections through our programs and events based on the principle of Community Trusteeship.

4,101 alumni have graduated from an LFW program since 1973.​

LeadershipClass is a nine-month program that exposes established leaders to the diverse needs and issues facing the community and enables them to become Community Trustees of Fort Worth’s future. The program features a series of sector-focused days that provide insight into how Fort Worth operates. 

Applications are due June 30 every year.

Leadership Fort Worth’s LeadingEdge program has historically supported emerging leaders with an opportunity to strengthen their leadership practices, create connections with community leaders and move beyond volunteerism to board service. LeadingEdge utilizes CliftonStrengths and partners with Board Build to train participants to become an effective non-profit board member.

Applications are due October 31 every year

LeaderKids is an operating program of Leadership Fort Worth in partnership with the Fort Worth Independent School District and TCU Leadership Center. Participants are select eighth-grade students representing middle schools in the school district, chosen with the assistance of the Intervention Specialists in the schools. The LeaderKids program offers well-rounded opportunities and experiences for participants in an effort to create future leaders.

LeaderPrime is a high-vision primer that provides an orientation to Fort Worth and its top leaders and prepares for quick, effective community engagement. LeaderPrime is an essential experience for those wishing to help shape Fort Worth’s future and gain access to an exclusive network of leaders who are doing the frontline work to keep our city one of the best places to live and do business.
