Since its inception in 1972, Leadership Fort Worth has been committed to building a stronger Fort Worth by creating meaningful connections through our programs and events based on the principle of Community Trusteeship.

Community Trusteeship involves holding the entire community in trust, or taking responsibility for, and acting on behalf of, the common good. In the best of circumstances, Community Trusteeship means that decisions concerning the community benefit each member of that community. At the very least, the decisions do not worsen the position of any member of the community.

FIND YOUR PROGRAMS

Established leaders who are key decision makers, typically mid-30s to mid-50s, or LeadingEdge graduates looking to take the next step in community trusteeship
Have a strong record of achievement in community/civic activities
Have significant volunteer leadership, ideally at the board level, and experience with community/civic organizations

Emerging leaders, typically in their mid-20s to mid-30s
Serve in a leadership capacity in organizations related to their career, academic institution, or other young professionals organizations
Are outstanding volunteers for nonprofit organizations
Aspire to decision-making roles on community boards and/or city commissions

Partnership with the Fort Worth Independent School District
Select eighth-grade students representing all the middle schools in the school district
Offers well-rounded opportunities and experiences for participants in an effort to create future leaders

Have a desire to connect with key decision makers and influencers in the community
Have a desire to become more engaged in the FW community
