Tarrant County College
January 5, 2022 | By LFWLeaderKids visited the Trinity River Campus of Tarrant County College on January 25, where they were welcomed by Richard Chance, Dean of Community Education. He shared interesting facts about TCC:
- Top 20 largest community colleges in USA with 46,000 students on 6 campuses
- 70% female students/ 60% minority students
- 200 programs for associate degrees, certifications, or industry-recognized credentials
Yvette Lyons quizzed the LeaderKids with brainteasers. Her power point presentation explained the variety of course offerings at TCC. After completing an Associate Degree at TCC, students can transfer credits to a 4- year college or university to complete a Bachelor Degree. She reminded students that TCC tuition is affordable and that scholarships, grants, and other financial aid are available.
Carter Bedford and Tristan Brooks led tours of the Trinity River Campus, ending at the Idea Store. Yolanda Fansler arranged tasty snacks and supper that everyone enjoyed.
THANK YOU to our hosts at Tarrant County College for an informative afternoon!!
